4th of July
I'm finally recovering from my 4th of July weekend. It was so much fun. To begin with, the weekend before, we went up to Logan and switched kids with Micheal and Sarah. We left John there and took home Julia for the week. It was kind of fun to have more girls than boys for once. My parents and brother came through on the 1st. It was fun to be with them and we tried having the kids sleep on the trampoline, but the sprinklers came on in the middle of the night. Then on the 2nd my parents left and Mike and Sarah came for the weekend. We went to Boise and saw some sights on Friday. Saturday we rented a boat and went tubing and water skiing. It was a lot of fun, although I still didn't get up. We'll have to rent a boat again some time soon. We had ribs and homemade ice cream for dinner and went to fireworks. It was a great day! Sunday Mike and Sarah left and my parents and brother came back through. Ate more ice cream. It was great! Justin had Monday off so went with us to swimming lessons. Tuesday we babysat 5 extra kids all night while their parents went to the temple, so it was a party. Went to Roaring Springs (a water park) on Wednessday, fed the missionaries on Thursday, temple night for us on Friday, school shopping Saturday and then we finally had to return to "normal" life. Writing it down helps me realize why it took me till Saturday to finally get caught up on laundry and house cleaning. I love summer!

Sugar Baby
This is what I saw when I entered John's room this morning. He has been saving his halloween candy and adding to his stash every holiday. What a weird kid. I personally would have eaten it all the first day. THe thing that really cracked me up was the lollipops. He had them sticking out of every bedpost, and yes, some of them are unwrapped for easy licking. At Least he was smart enough to pull the ladder up. (He is on the top bunk). Kids are so funny!
Good garden, stupid dog
My stupid dog has been chewing on everything! She is no longer allowed inside unless some one is directly watching her which is pretty much never. arrgh!

On a happier note, we are actually eating stuff from our garden!! yay! I've never been good at keeping things alive so I'm excited that we have had salads from our garden for the past couple of weeks. Thank goodness Justin decided to take over and make it his little hobby. I'm sure I would have stopped watering by now.

Memorial Day
We had a great Memorial day weekend, except that I forgot to bring the camera :( So you will just have to use your imagination. We went to my moms house. On Friday, Danny got a boat for us and took us out on the Columbia to go tubing and wakeboarding. Joey, John and Samantha all got to go. We all had a great time, but it was so cute to see little Samantha on the tube holding on tight to the rope with a big old smile on her face. She just looked so little and I thought she would be too scared or at the very least would hate the cold, cold water, but she was such a cute little trooper. Justin almost got up on the wakeboard. Danny wowed us with his tricks. He did some backflips, it was really neat! Then on Monday we went to a family reunion that my dad's family holds every memorial day. It was fun to see so many of my cousins that I haven't seen in forever.

Father and Son campout
Woohoo! It's that time of the year again! Father's and sons is this weekend. When Samantha heard that in church today she turned to me and said in an awed whisper "Does that mean we can go to the mall?"
Last year when Justin took the boys, Samantha, Michelle and I had a special girls night out where we went to the mall and met a friend of mine at a french cafe in San Antonio. It was a lot of fun. So, we are hoping for a repeat. I'll keep you updated. It cracks me up that Samantha thinks the mall is like an amusement park. She is stoked to go. The sad thing is I am too. I am hoping I can get her and Michelle interested in swimming suit shopping with me. The only suit I can fit into right now is my maternity suit and it is time for that to go. Wish me luck!
