So we got a lot of snow. Hamden was reported at getting 40 inches of snow in one night!!! Isn't that crazy? The snowplows couldn't keep up and subsequently most of the town was snowed in for several days. The snow fell on Friday, and we didn't get dug out until Tues.!!! Isn't that crazy?????!!! It made for some great guilt free movie days and of course some great snow caves. Unfortunately, our sleds were left outside and were covered for days until we were finally able to dig them out. Now 2 weeks later, the kids are finally back in school and there is still snow on the ground. It was pretty crazy!
John is basically in the road in this picture. It was crazy because we couldn't even walk out of our neighborhood the snow was so deep.
Samantha and Kate crawling into the snow cave.
Nathan standing up in the snow.
The sidewalk in between our neighbor's house and ours. They graciously lent us their snow blower, but even then we had to shovel to get the snow ready for the snow blower.

Interestingly enough, the week of the blizzard was Valentine's day, John's birthday party, a party we had scheduled for activity days and the week after was Feb. break , so there were alot of things rescheduled. And then after a week of being home and finally feeling like we could get on with our lives it was Feb. break so we couldn't quite get back to normal yet. But, thanfully we were able to have a nice Feb. break and it was just a releif to get out of the house and have fun with some friends.
