Memorial Day
We had a great Memorial day weekend, except that I forgot to bring the camera :( So you will just have to use your imagination. We went to my moms house. On Friday, Danny got a boat for us and took us out on the Columbia to go tubing and wakeboarding. Joey, John and Samantha all got to go. We all had a great time, but it was so cute to see little Samantha on the tube holding on tight to the rope with a big old smile on her face. She just looked so little and I thought she would be too scared or at the very least would hate the cold, cold water, but she was such a cute little trooper. Justin almost got up on the wakeboard. Danny wowed us with his tricks. He did some backflips, it was really neat! Then on Monday we went to a family reunion that my dad's family holds every memorial day. It was fun to see so many of my cousins that I haven't seen in forever.

Mother's Day
My mother's day was awesome this year. To begin with Justin took the boys camping on Friday and Saturday so the girls got to watch chick flicks and go shopping. It was great, I even got a new swimming suit! Then on Sunday Justin did all of the cooking, the kids brought out their various Mother's day gifts from school and Justin got everyone to give me a spa treatment. Joey and John gave back rubs, Nathan fed me ice cream and Samantha gave me a pedicure. It was really sweet (even though the end product left a little to be desired.)
I tried to take some pictures of the kids to send to grandma, but they never quite cooperated so I didn't really get any good ones. They were so cute all dressed up though.
Here are some purses I made for my mom and mother in law for mother's day. I just got a new sewing machine and these were my first project on it. I've never made bags before, but they were fun. I was really pleased with the outcome.

Father and Son campout
Woohoo! It's that time of the year again! Father's and sons is this weekend. When Samantha heard that in church today she turned to me and said in an awed whisper "Does that mean we can go to the mall?"
Last year when Justin took the boys, Samantha, Michelle and I had a special girls night out where we went to the mall and met a friend of mine at a french cafe in San Antonio. It was a lot of fun. So, we are hoping for a repeat. I'll keep you updated. It cracks me up that Samantha thinks the mall is like an amusement park. She is stoked to go. The sad thing is I am too. I am hoping I can get her and Michelle interested in swimming suit shopping with me. The only suit I can fit into right now is my maternity suit and it is time for that to go. Wish me luck!

Easter
I'm finally getting around to posting some Easter pictures. We went to Logan to celebrate with Mike and Sarah and the day before we went to Anna Hansen's house in Layton for an Easter egg hunt/celebration. It was a lot of fun. Michelle loved this car.
Here are all of the kids in the bouncy house.
Michelle hunting for easter eggs. They had a golden egg and a silver egg each with $5 inside. The kids were pretty excited. My niece Julia found one of the prize eggs.
John, Joseph and Nathan dying Easter eggs at our house.

Got Dirt?
I do! We finally got our dirt and garden all planted. We have tomatoes, strawberries, spinach, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, peas, and swiss chard planted in our garden. It's kind of exciting, although right now it still just looks like a bunch of dirt. We have some tomato starts inside still and the strawberries are up, but we're just waiting for everything else to get started. It's pretty fun. Justin has decided that gardening is his new hobby, so it's been fun to see him out taking care of everything and reading books on square foot gardening. It's a nice family project.
